Great internship opportunity for college students or other individuals who want to work part time and contribute to the Girl Scouts' mission of building girls of courage, confidence and character who make the world a better place.
Part-time schedule; after school hours of 230pm to 530pm and/or two Mondays per month 6-730pm. Can work one day per week, or five. We will work with your schedule.
Additional compensation for bilingual applicants.
Job Summary
The Program Coordinator is primarily responsible for planning and implementing programs for girls in grades K-12 and serves as an advocate for those children. This position is accountable for integrated management and coordination of all program delivery and support services in designated content, grade level, or geographic areas in and/or across multiple pathways. The coordinator ensures that program development and implementation support the council’s program plan and strategic business goals, maintains strict adherence to safety and security guidelines, promotes the Girl Scout Leadership Experience and outcomes, and/or links to national program curricula. This is a Safety Sensitive position.
Job Duties
- Actively supervise program participants ensuring their guidance and safety at all times
- Develop and implement program activities that may include sports, art projects, science, and other enrichment clubs that utilize your skills and interests
- Provide positive behavior guidance and youth mentoring that supports the developmental, social-emotional and physical needs of all students
- Leadership for youth in girl scouts program
- Manages equipment, supplies, cleaning and scheduling
- help girls improve their literacy and critical thinking skills
- The troop meetings give the girls a space to process their feelings about what is happening in their world. Girls will work on important social skills during troop meetings, including listening without interrupting, taking turns, sharing, using appropriate manners, greeting each other, playing fairly and responding to other people's emotions.
