Job Overview
The Culinary Operations Manager is responsible for planning and supervising dining hall service and food preparation at our summer camp. This individual will oversee the entire food service operation, ensuring that all meals are prepared to high standards of quality and safety.
Responsibilities
This role assumes direct responsibility for food service, including maintaining inventory of food and supplies, communicating food orders as needed, managing preparation, serving, and clean-up of all meals. The Culinary Operations Manager will also supervise cookout packing, the dishwashing process, and accommodate special dietary requirements as reasonable.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have experience in food service or a related field, including menu planning, ordering, and sanitation. A current ServSafe certification in food service and sanitation or ability to obtain it is required. Supervisory experience and the ability to problem-solve and make decisions are essential. The candidate should demonstrate the ability to guide, motivate, and coach staff members and work effectively as part of a team.
