The Role - Program Manager
The Program Manager focus on Travel is responsible for developing, coordinating, and overseeing Girl Scout travel programs to provide safe, meaningful, and accessible travel experiences that enhance leadership, confidence, and life skills for girls.
What you will be doing:
- Expand Travel Opportunities: Increase accessible and equitable travel experiences for Girl Scouts, ensuring diverse options that build confidence, leadership, and global awareness
- Strengthen Partnerships: Collaborate with community organizations, travel partners, and volunteers to create meaningful and safe travel experiences for girls
- Enhance Program Engagement: Support troop leaders and families with resources, training, and guidance to encourage participation in travel programs that align with Girl Scout values and goals
- Additional Responsibilities – Perform other duties as required or assigned.
- Experience in Youth Travel & Program Development: Background in planning, coordinating, or managing youth travel programs, with a focus on safety, logistics, and educational experiences
- Strong Communication & Relationship-Building Skills: Ability to engage and collaborate with Girl Scout volunteers, families, community partners, and travel vendors
- Organizational & Problem-Solving Abilities: Skilled in managing multiple travel programs, budgeting, and handling logistics while ensuring a seamless experience for participants
- Availability & Willingness to Travel: Flexible schedule with the ability to travel for Girl Scout trips, training sessions, and program oversight as needed
- Knowledge of Girl Scouts & Youth Development: Understanding of the Girl Scout program, its mission, and how travel enhances leadership, confidence, and life skills for girls.
