Position Summary
Reporting to the Director of Philanthropy, the Manager of Corporate Relations is responsible for designing and implementing strategic fundraising initiatives to secure corporate support that meets or exceeds budget goals while advancing the mission of the organization. This role focuses on cultivating leadership and major gifts from corporate partners, with an emphasis on building multi-faceted, sustainable relationships that align corporate goals with organizational priorities.
The Manager will identify, engage, and steward corporate prospects, managing strategies to secure new, renewed, and increased support through sponsorships, employee engagement, and in-kind contributions. Additionally, the Manager will oversee corporate participation in key events and initiatives, ensuring partnerships deliver measurable impact and value. This role may also supervise one or more staff members.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Corporate Partnerships
- Manage a portfolio of 50 plus corporate prospects, prioritizing personalized cultivation, solicitation, and active prospect management.
- Identify and pursue new funding opportunities; build a robust pipeline to drive increased financial commitments and long-term relationships.
- Develop and execute a strategic outreach plan to elevate GSGLA's visibility among Los Angeles-based corporations.
- Cultivate strong, productive relationships through timely, personalized communication, including regular in-person meetings, with portfolio prospects.
- Prepare compelling materials, including proposals, letters, and stewardship reports, to secure corporate partnerships and renewals.
- Collaborate with Marketing/Communications, Mission Delivery, and cross-functional teams to deliver creative, high-impact corporate engagement opportunities.
- Leverage the Board of Directors networks to identify and activate corporate connections.
- Secure innovative, budget-relieving in-kind support.
- Partner with internal teams to synthesize data and effectively communicate program impact in proposals and reports.
- Maintain a strategic balance of cultivation, solicitation, engagement, and stewardship to advance donor relationships.
- Attend networking events across the Greater Los Angeles region to actively identify and cultivate corporate donor prospects and relationships.
Girl Scouts She Leads Event or Equivalent Fundraising Event
- Manage a targeted portfolio of corporate prospects to achieve revenue goals.
- Develop and execute solicitation plans for cash and in-kind donations, maintaining clear communication with leadership on progress, challenges, and support needs.
- Build and manage corporate partnership portfolios for the C-Suite, Director of Philanthropy, and Board of Directors to advance revenue objectives.
- Prepare compelling donor-facing materials, including proposals, letters, and stewardship reports, with an emphasis on corporate partnerships.
- Collaborate with sponsors to deliver customized marketing benefits, such as signage, program features, and visibility opportunities.
- Oversee sponsor payment follow-ups and ensure thoughtful, timely recognition and stewardship.
Additional Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date donor records in the database, including detailed moves management following calls, e-mails, visits, and solicitations.
- Partner with the Director of Philanthropy to align strategic solicitation efforts with cultivation events. Collaborate with the grant consultants to expand sponsorships into grant opportunities and vice versa.
- Maintain a professional, courteous demeanor in all interactions.
- Demonstrate flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills, with the ability to think critically, anticipate challenges, and troubleshoot effectively.
- Exceptional writing skills and project management abilities, capable of multi-tasking under strict deadlines and budget constraints.
- Excellent presentation and pitching skills, with experience engaging corporate prospects.
- Highly motivated self-starter with ability to initiate and lead special projects.
- Reliable and accountable team player.
- Possess a strong work ethic, integrity, and honesty.
- Must be flexible, adaptable, and willing to thrive in an ever-changing/fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and donor database systems; Raiser’s Edge preferred.
- Ability to spend time sitting, utilizing the computer, and standing and walking throughout the facilities.
- Ability to travel via personal vehicle or public transportation to various facilities throughout the region.
- Ability to lift up to 15 pounds periodically.
- Flexibility to attend evening and/or weekend meetings and/or events.
- Able to perform this job safely, without endangering the health or safety of themself or others.

Recommended Education, Training and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of three years of experience in fundraising, with a proven track record in corporate partnerships.
- Experience managing budgets and delivering detailed, accurate, and timely reports on fundraising revenue and event expenditures.
- Familiarity with Los Angeles-based corporations is a plus.
- Experience as a Girl Scout is a plus.
GSGLA Employee Requirements

Salary : $70,000 - $80,000
