Part-Time, Variable 20-28 hours per week, weekend and evening hours required
The STEM Coordinator works to assist in planning and implementing high-quality STEM program experiences. The STEM Coordinator assists with promotion, scheduling, documentation, evaluation, and reporting requirements for STEM program offerings. This team member will work with the Manager, STEM to provide STEM materials, technical equipment, and software training to facilitators, volunteers, and girls. Programs are delivered within the Girl Scouts of North East Ohio framework and age-appropriate program standards.
1. Implement high-level, technical STEM programs throughout the GSNEO council jurisdiction, including but not limited to Girl Scout members and school-aged children.
2. Aligns contemporary Girl Scout program content to develop and implement high-quality, technical STEM programs in various settings, including troop support, special events, virtual programs, afterschool, and camp.
3. Assist with aligning educational standards to develop high-quality, technical STEM programming for a broad audience.
4. Assists in curriculum development for STEM programming.
5. Works closely with the Manager, STEM to ensure correct implementation of programs and adherence to program standards.
6. Maintains inventory of program supplies and equipment, including placing orders, delivering to program sites, and performing routine maintenance.
7. Assists in the development of programmatic and technical training tools and resources for volunteers, staff, partners, and girls
8. Assists with the facilitation of technical STEM training for staff, partners, and volunteers.
9. Record and report data on attendance and programmatic outcomes.
10. Other duties as assigned to promote the successful implementation of GSNEO’s goals/objectives.
Requirements
- Formal STEM education and/or a combination of work-related experience of 2-4 years. Previous experience with CNC equipment and additive technologies is preferred.
- Advanced computer literacy skills and technical knowledge of software programs like Microsoft Office, including Excel and Teams, SharePoint, CAD software, and Inkscape (or comparable software).
- Strong human relations skills such as classroom management, leadership, networking, and relationship-building
- Knowledge of youth education, either formal or informal

- Ability to pay close attention to detail and maintain confidentiality
- Ability to communicate the written and spoken word with tact, diplomacy, and/or authority when necessary
