Responsible for the handling of the council's accounts payable and receivables. Provide support, as needed, to the Finance Department
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following.
- Prepare invoices for payment by verifying and entering correct general ledger codes, ensure correct approvals; matching and batching invoices with purchase orders and packing slips when applicable; enter into accounts payable system using established procedures; attach documents supporting requested payment.
- Resolves all accounts payable issues; maintains vendor records; preparation of year end vendor 1099 reports.
- Manage the bi-weekly check run, securing signatures, mailing checks and ensuring supporting documents are filed accurately using established procedures in a timely fashion.
- Process returned checks and administer the NSF and other collection procedures.
- Process accounts receivable by recording the receipts in the General Ledger system; collects revenue by notifying delinquent accounts and insufficient payments
- Processes Troop and Vendor ACH transactions using established procedures in a timely fashion. Runs ACH Reject report and resolves all outstanding rejects using established procedures in a timely fashion.
- Prepares office cash deposits and cash sheets including retail cash sheets.
- Responsible for reconciling selected general ledger accounts.
A requirement of you employment with the Girls Scouts of San Gorgonio is that all staff members must successfully complete and pass a Live Scan finger print background check.
This requirement is in compliance with California Legislation AB506 whereas any administrator, employee, or regular volunteer, of a youth service organization must go through a finger print background check (Live Scan).
the information the organization receives will show any previous criminal history recorded by the Department of Justice (CA DOJ) and the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) for the length of your employment. Additionally, any future infractions wit the two previously stated agencies will be reported to the Girl Scouts of San Gorgonio during your employment.
