What are the responsibilities and job description for the Kitchen Coordinator - Azalea Trails position at Girl Scouts of San Gorgonio?
The Kitchen Coordinator will work closely with the Camp Director and Kitchen Director to ensure that all meals and food provided are in compliance with GSUSA standards, ACA standards, and USDA nutritional standards. Assists with the overall food-service operation of the camp including purchasing, preparation, nutrition, service, sanitation, security, customer service, and record keeping.

About Troop Camp At Azalea Trails
Join the Azalea Trails staff for an amazing camp experience built just for your troop! Troops have the option to bring their own food for the duration, or be fed by our amazing kitchen team for an additional fee.
Choose your activities before you arrive and let the staff do the rest! Troops are required to bring 2 registered female adults who will sleep in the yurt with campers. Non-female adults are welcome but cannot count for overnight coverage. Please reach out for non-female adult accommodations.
For every 5 campers registered, you can bring an adult for free! Troops exceeding 16 total people (youth and adults) can bring their own tents to set up near the troop's yurt or rent a second yurt if space allows.

There is a firm commitment to do everything possible to deliver the camp experience this summer. After the 2020 camp season was canceled due to the pandemic, girls are eager to get outside and participate in Girl Scouting outdoors. We must prepare and proceed cautiously, keeping the safety of campers, guests, and staff our priority. Having you on staff would mean working as part of a team to keep a safe, clean environment; following all protocols; and leading and communicating to the campers the importance of following safety procedures so that everyone has a great experience.

Interviews begin in early 2025. Staff training begins 6/16/2025.
A requirement of you employment with the Girls Scouts of San Gorgonio is that all staff members must successfully complete and pass a Live Scan finger print background check.
This requirement is in compliance with California Legislation AB506 whereas any administrator, employee, or regular volunteer, of a youth service organization must go through a finger print background check (Live Scan).
the information the organization receives will show any previous criminal history recorded by the Department of Justice (CA DOJ) and the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) for the length of your employment. Additionally, any future infractions wit the two previously stated agencies will be reported to the Girl Scouts of San Gorgonio during your employment.
