Brief Description (not inclusive of all duties)
Under the direction of the Director of Properties, the Maintenance Ranger provides a wide range of construction, maintenance, mechanical, and janitorial duties for council-owned properties, primarily focused on our camp (s).
This role will require travel to multiple locations, we have camps in Idyllwild and Yucaipa and buildings throughout San Bernardino and Riverside Counties.

Provide maintenance and repairs to council properties and buildings. This includes erosion control, weed abatement, plumbing repairs, mechanical repairs to buildings, carpentry work for repairing or modifying buildings, repairs of electrical wiring, breaker boxes, light switches, outlets, etc.
Perform work safely above the ground on roofs or other high places. Use a wide range of construction related power tools and equipment, including skill saw, sawzall, drill, jack hammer, rotor hammer, generator, sewer rotor, airless paint sprayer, small tractor, mower, chain saw, weed eater, jigsaw, trencher, etc. according to manufacturer guidelines and safety requirements.
Provide janitorial service to council buildings as needed: mop floor, swab toilets, clean ovens, vacuum or steam rinse carpets, buff floors, etc. Ensure sites are stocked with all necessary janitorial supplies and identify priorities and work within established procedures. Coordinate work schedule with Director of Properties.
