HERE'S A CLUE: If you love the outdoors and a good mystery, spend it at beautiful Camp Welaka in sunny Jupiter, Florida where we will host girls for Detective-themed summer camp sessions!
What will a typical day look like in this role?
Camp Leaders (21 ) and Assistant Leaders (18 ) are responsible for providing a safe and stimulating environment where campers engage with each other through a vast variety of themed outdoor activities! As a Leader, you will empower girls to plan and lead camp activities and facilitate activities for campers in your group.
Camp Leaders are required to live on property in an on-site cabin during resident camp sessions and have the option to do so during day camp sessions, unless attendance becomes a challenge. While no two days will ever be the same, there will be one daily constant: our ultimate goal is to make sure that everyone is having a safe and fantastic time at camp!
Who are we seeking?
An energetic individual with critical thinking skills who can adapt as needed.
Someone who can communicate clearly, verbally and in writing, with children, parents, volunteers, peers, supervisors and subordinates.
Someone who can stand for long periods of time and can withstand the South Florida summer sun and heat.
Someone committed to creating environments that promote diversity, equity and inclusion.
What else will you need?
Must be at least 18 years of age by June 1st to be a Camp Assistant Leader or at least 21 years of age by June 1 to be a Camp Leader.
Required to timely complete a Level 2 criminal background check with a determination that you are eligible for employment.
Required to timely complete a post-offer, pre-employment health examination and submit health history record prior to first day of work.
Strong preference for supervisory experience, experience working with large youth groups and knowledge of outdoor programming.

Mandatory Pre-Camp Staff Training: Monday 6/9/25 - Thursday 6/12/25
Resident Camp Session 1: Friday 6/13/25- Sunday 6/15/25
Resident Camp Session 2: Thursday 6/19/25 - Sunday 6/22/25
Day Camp Session 1: Monday 6/23/25 - Friday 6/27/25
Resident Camp Session 3: Sunday 7/6/25- Thursday 7/10/25
Resident Camp Session 4: Sunday 7/13/25 - Thursday 7/17/25
Possible Clean Up Day: Friday 7/18/25
Day Camp Session 2: Monday 7/21/25 - Friday 7/25/25
Note: Applicants are encouraged to commit to all summer camp sessions, and if approved to work less than all of the sessions, must be able to commit to the entire session or sessions they are selected to work. All selected candidates must attend pre-camp training.
