Position Summary:
The Member Support Specialist provides service and support to Girl Scout members. The Member Support Specialist is responsible for retaining girl and adult membership in assigned geographic areas by providing excellent customer service and support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provides ongoing support to members in assigned geographic area.
- Answers, problem-solves, manages and responds appropriately to all inquiries via phone, email, and in-person.
- Works collaboratively to ensure the effective support of parents and troop
- Provides first-level conflict resolution
- Optimizes the use of technology, including Salesforce, and web-based video conferencing
- Utilizes data analysis software to track, organize and analyze membership
- Supports overall customer support plan by providing assistance for customers via retail curbside
- Other duties as assigned
Position Qualifications:
- Must be willing to work a flexible schedule, including regularly working evenings and
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Demonstrated skill in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn additional software programs
- Bachelor's degree with concentration in related field or equivalent
- Ability to travel to service centers and to meetings throughout the designated area
Equipment Used: Computer, lap top, tablet, calculator, multi-line telephone, mobile phone, security alarm system, TV/audio equipment, overhead projector, LCD projector.
Physical Activities: Climbing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, keyboard, talking, hearing and repetitive motions.
Physical Demands: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 to 20 pounds of force frequently.
Visual Acuity Required: Heavy acuity: Preparing and analyzing data and figures and using a computer terminal, lap top and tablet.
Work Conditions: Activities occur both inside and outside.
