Junior Camp Aide
The Junior Camp Aide plays a vital role in the daily life of our campers. This position requires a team player who is passionate about working with youth and assisting in various aspects of camp operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist Unit Leads and Unit Counselors in teaching and carrying out activities and guiding campers in their personal growth and daily living skills.
- Help with meal preparation and food service production, following all summer camp food safety procedures.
- Supervise campers at all times, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Participate in program areas such as waterfront, target sports, cooking, nature, all camp activities, and arts and crafts.
- Provide guidance and support to campers in making choices for activities, meals, and downtime.
Requirements:
- Must be 17 years of age.
- Must have completed CIT II.
- Must obtain or have the willingness to obtain certification in First Aid/CPR/AED.
- Must submit health history and examination forms before the first day of work.
- Must be able to pass all federal, state, and GSCB-required background checks.
Working Conditions:
Live on-site at Camp Todd in Denton, MD during training weeks and camp weeks. Work irregular or extended hours into evenings and weekends during the four overnight camp weeks.
