Job Overview
The Girl Scouts of Western Washington is seeking a highly organized and skilled individual to oversee all aspects of the camp dining experience. This includes ordering food, staffing lodge meals, coordinating with groups regarding kitchen use, meal kit program management, and cooking for large groups with staff support.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure safe and sanitary food storage, preparation, and service that meets state and local health regulations.
- Maintain effective working relationships with staff and create harmonious relationships with campers, parents, and staff while overseeing kitchen operations.
- Organize and complete administrative tasks, including menu planning and inventory management.
- Promote a guest-friendly atmosphere and provide quality customer service that resolves concerns by offering creative solutions in a timely manner.
Requirements
- 21 years old
- High School Diploma or GED
- Previous experience in commercial kitchen and/or quantity cooking
- GSWW Quantity Cook Training or willingness to obtain
- WA Food Handler's card or willingness to obtain
- Current CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Previous experience working in a Girl Scout and/or a camp setting
- Previous experience supervising staff in a commercial kitchen or quantity cooking setting
- Previous food delivery experience and/or experience in transporting food safely
