Camp Winacka?- A traditional rustic camp with spectacular views. The camp features a pool, miles of hiking trails, green building including a new environmental center and two lakes. Campers choose from programs focusing on aquatics, horses, arts and adventure. Campers and staff sleep in open-air cabins with built-in bunk beds, in platform tents with bunk beds or on cots under the stars.
Camp Whispering Oaks - Features a sports field and basketball court tucked amongst oak and pine trees, unique stargazing venues, abundant wildlife and a small, close-knit camp community. Campers choose from programs focusing on science and space, outdoor skills, sports, theater and the arts. Campers and staff sleep in fully enclosed indoor cabins with electricity and paved, lighted pathways winding through native manzanita, oak and pine trees.
Your Summer will look like this:
Developing and delivering arts and crafts activities that are safe, fun and appropriate to the age and abilities of campers, managing arts and crafts facilities and related supplies and equipment.
Uses and teaches different art mediums, utilizes natural environment and appropriately uses resources wisely.?
Ensures campers and staff know and follow safety and educational procedures in the craft area.?
Responsible for care, use of equipment, requisition of supplies and equipment during camp.?
Supervises opening and closing of the arts and crafts area daily and seasonally, maintains an accurate inventory of supplies and participates in end of season camp evaluation.?
Creates a shopping list of supplies as needed for all arts and crafts programs during the season.?
Organizes and fulfills requests for craft supplies needed by unit staff for crafts in general camp programming.??

Here's what it takes:
At least 18 years of age; preferably 21 and a high school graduate/GED.
- Ability to commit to the full camp season: 6/16/2025-7/26/2025
Minimum six months' experience with arts and crafts program and instruction preferred.
Skill in arts and crafts activities especially emphasizing use of natural materials and creativity.
Knowledge of child development and problem-solving techniques.
Ability to self-direct and time management skills.
Must be able to obtain current First Aid/CPR certification by first day of campers' arrival.
Attends staff meetings.
Attends staff and in-service training during the summer.
Ability to interact with all age levels.
Valid drivers' license, proof of insurance and/or access to reliable transportation. Daily and/or occasional travel may be required.
