Position Summary
Girl Scouts of Greater Los Angeles (GSGLA) is seeking a savvy team player who thrives in a collaborative, innovative work environment. The candidate who fills this position will be working at an exciting and pivotal time as we find innovative ways to provide interactive training for girls, leaders, and volunteers. This person will provide exceptional opportunities to our Girl Scout members and fulfill the Girl Scout mission.
The e-Learning Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing engaging interactive eLearning experiences in partnership with the Volunteer Development Team. They work collaboratively across functional areas to identify training needs, then provide technical, design, and layout support ensuring high-quality and professional training as needed. The e-Learning developer manages and conducts quality assurance review of all online training by gathering feedback to evaluate and measure the effectiveness of course content. The e-Learning Developer works collaboratively with members of all Girl & Volunteer Experience teams as well as cross-functionally with other departments to ensure achievement of the goals of Girl Scouts of Greater Los Angeles.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Designs, develops, updates, and implements engaging, interactive e-learning experiences in partnership with the Volunteer Development Team.
- Leverages experience with e-learning software to complete learning modules efficiently and effectively to specification.
- Apply an eagerness to learn to all aspects of position, with a particular emphasis on becoming an Articulate subject matter expert. Articulate training is available.
- Recommends and implements new eLearning development approaches to the Volunteer Development Team.
- Writes effective copy for both curriculum and marketing purposes.
- Manages multiple program development projects simultaneously by prioritizing project deadlines, ensures that any problems are addressed, escalated when needed, and resolved quickly.
- Ensures that training and course materials are current, relevant to training needs, and align with GSUSA and GSGLA program requirements and overall council strategies.
- Works collaboratively across functional areas to identify training needs, then provide technical, design, and layout support ensuring high-quality and professional training as needed.
- Ensure consistency and comparability of curriculum between the in-person, blended, and online delivery methods.
- To provide courteous, consistent, professional, and knowledgeable customer service.
- Monitors and supports online learning assets and supports volunteers by troubleshooting their technical issues.
- Designs and delivers training to meet the needs of adults from diverse populations. Promote diversity in every aspect of Girl Scouting.
- Ensures that all e-learning, related resources, and publications reflect and are sensitive to the ethnic, religious, social, and economic diversity of the council jurisdiction.
- Able to work independently and collaboratively to deliver high-quality results on time.
- Assume other related duties and responsibilities and provide backup support to other units / functions as assigned.
