Equine Activity Specialist

LEADERSHIP SUMMARY
The Activity Specialist will infuse and model the Girl Scout Law into their everyday work to fulfill the mission of building girls of courage, confidence, and character who make the world a better place.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Activity Specialist is accountable for the execution, delivery, and support of the program(s) in which they are trained. They are responsible for providing safety instructions to program participants, facilitating and / or supporting sessions, and setting up / taking down program equipment. This is a year-round, part-time position, with a flexible schedule.
MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Provide safety instructions for all activities in Equine Programming
- Assist instructors in conducting activities
- Assist in the upkeep of facilities as needed to deliver the Program.
- Complete regular equipment safety checks
- Maintain all equipment and complete pre-and post-session equipment and supply inventory
- Teach entry-level lessons in associated departments
- Attend department meetings as scheduled by managing the department
- Follow facility rules and policies
- Maintain a positive attitude and professionalism with participants, parents, volunteers, and staff
