Dean of Students
The Dean of Students cultivates a climate of positivity, cultural sensitivity, inclusivity, and belonging that empowers and propels our girls’ global competence. The Dean of Students will lead Girls Global Academy's discipline team and PBIS process. The Dean of Students will consistently demonstrate service, leadership, integrity, collaboration, and empathy, and promote those core qualities in the students.
Member of the Leadership Team: The DoS is a team builder and experienced manager – you will collaborate with the whole school community. You are open and direct about fulfilling the needs of all stakeholders and a high level of student engagement. You need to be able to communicate clearly with students and staff. You will also be expected to developthe culture of the school and collaborate with other leaders to ensure there is consistent implementation – you will be one of the glue holders between the executive team, students, and parents/staff and a key part of the decision making for the school.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree required and Graduate Degree Required
- Administrator I Certificate preferred
- Background on conflict management preferred
- 2 years educational leadership experience
- Managerial experience preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Make data-driven decisions
- Experience organizing professional development
- Experience providing instructional support
- Experience designing and implementing educational programs
- Demonstrated ability to perform the duties of the position
Dean of Students Duties and Responsibilities
Behavior and Discipline
- Develops, supervises, manages, and maintains student in-school culture
- Develops the school’s initiative for the use of restorative practices in collaboration with the Student Support Services Coordinator
- Provides staff development around restorative practices in collaboration with external partners and the Principal
- Conduct and supervise restorative circles
- Manages the PBIS process with other members of the leadership team
- Fosters positive relationships with students
- Develops regular communication protocols with parents
- Delivers thoughtful guidance and support with advisory groups
- Engages professionally and enthusiastically with new school initiatives
- Lead extra-curricular activities during and/or after school
