Girls Inc. of Central Alabama is hiring for multiple summer instructor positions at both our Crestwood Center and our Eureka! STEM Camp. Eureka! STEM Camp
Focus: STEM education and enrichment for middle and high school girls
Location: Birmingham, AL
Pay: $15/hour

About the Eureka! Role:
This instructor will lead hands-on, project-based STEM lessons that promote curiosity, innovation, and confidence in girls pursuing science and technology fields. Ideal for someone with STEM experience and a passion for gender equity in education.
Focus: Enrichment programming for girls ages 6–18
Location: Crestwood Center, Birmingham, AL
Pay Range: $13–$20/hour
Open Positions:
- Program Instructors – $20/hour
- Sports & Fitness Instructors (3 openings) – $15/hour
- Health & Wellness Instructor – $15/hour
- Advocacy & Leadership Instructors (2 openings) – $15/hour
- Field Trip Instructor/Driver – $15/hour
- Swim Assistant – $13/hour

About the Crestwood Roles:
These instructors will lead programming across a variety of focus areas, from physical activity and healthy living to leadership, advocacy, and enrichment. All roles contribute to a safe, supportive, and empowering summer experience for girls.
- Deliver engaging, age-appropriate instruction and activities
- Create a positive and inclusive camp environment
- Act as a role model and mentor
- Ensure participant safety and program quality
- Collaborate with fellow staff and leadership
- Experience working with youth in camp, classroom, or community settings
- Strong communication and group management skills
- Enthusiasm for empowering girls and advancing youth development
- For Field Trip Instructor/Driver: Valid driver’s license and comfort transporting participants
