Job Description
A Summer Program Facilitator is a vital and integral part of ensuring all girls are strong, smart and bold. This team member ensures that programs and curricula are delivered in a thoughtful, effective manner to engage and excite girls, prepares and teaches age-appropriate programs/curricula. This position requires you to be dedicated, loyal, have impeccable work ethics, and a passion for working with youth as well as educational or job-related skills.
JOB TITLE: Summer Program Facilitator
REPORTS TO: Program Director
SALARY RANGE: Minimum wage to $10.00
I. QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of two years of college or work-related experience.
- Access to reliable and available transportation during work time.
- The desire and ability to work with youth effectively.
- Training in education, recreation, youth development or related area.
- Self-directed, creative and innovative
II. AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
- Plans, prepares and teaches Girls Inc. age-appropriate programs/curricula.
- Serves as a role model for girls, other staff and volunteers, maintaining a high level of professionalism and attention to quality in all aspects of program delivery and work in general.
- Supervises young people during program activities and field trips.
- Maintains accurate records of classroom attendance.
- Provides guidance and support to girls and develops trusting mentoring relationships with them.
- Participates in set-up, clean-up and decoration of center and classroom.
- Ensures safety and cleanliness of facilities.
- Participates in center closing procedures.
- Participates in staff meetings and trainings to share ideas and concerns, and works collaboratively with other staff to meet agency and program related goals.
- Communicate accurately and effectively with management. Keeps Program Director informed of concerns, needs, trends, and unusual situations.
- Adhere to all Girls Incorporated policies and procedures.

This job description is not an employment contract, employment is at-will and Girls Incorporated of Dothan reserves the right to alter the job description at any time without notice. This position is part-time, seasonal and does not include health insurance.
