Overview:
The Outreach Coordinator is responsible for building relationships with schools, community organizations, businesses, and local stakeholders to promote Girls Ment To Be. This role focuses on increasing awareness, developing partnerships, and expanding the reach of the organization's mentorship programs, workshops, and events.
Key Responsibilities:Community Engagement & Partnership Development:
- Identify and establish partnerships with schools, child-placing agencies, community organizations, and businesses.
- Develop strategies to promote Girls Ment To Be within the community.
- Represent the organization at networking events, fairs, and community meetings.
- Maintain ongoing communication with partners and stakeholders.
Volunteer & Participant Recruitment:
- Collaborate with the Volunteer Coordinator to recruit mentors, workshop facilitators, and volunteers.
- Assist in recruiting mentees by engaging schools and community programs.
- Develop outreach materials, such as flyers, brochures, and digital content.
Event Coordination & Promotion:
- Assist in planning and executing outreach events, including information sessions and community fairs.
- Promote events and initiatives through social media, email campaigns, and local outreach efforts.
- Ensure outreach events align with the mission and goals of Girls Ment To Be.
Communication & Reporting:
- Track outreach efforts and maintain records of partnerships and engagements.
- Provide reports on outreach activities and impact to the leadership team.
- Work closely with the Social Media & Marketing team to align outreach messaging.
- Passion for youth mentorship, community engagement, and nonprofit work.
- Strong networking, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
- Experience in outreach, marketing, or event planning is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Teams, and social media platforms is preferred.
- Approximately 6-10 hours per week, with increased availability during outreach events.
