Job Title: Program Manager

Girls on the Run of Mid & Western Maryland is a local nonprofit organization dedicated to creating a world where every girl knows and activates her limitless potential and is free to boldly pursue her dreams. We inspire participants to be joyful, healthy, and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum which creatively integrates running and physical activity. Our program is designed to enhance girls’ social, psychological, and physical skills and behaviors to successfully navigate life experiences.

Job responsibilities:
Program Outreach and Site Management
- Implement the Girls on the Run strategic program plan and achieve program goals with respect to number of girls served, number of site locations and demographic requirements
- In conjunction with Executive Director, work with community organizations, schools and other groups to maximize the success of Girls on the Run programming
- Manage and support the needs of all new and existing sites
- Enforce all current site policies and procedures and generate innovation and improvement as needed
- In collaboration with the Executive Director, oversee and manage all participant program assistance policies and procedures.
- Set up and manage program events, sites, and coach recruitment pages in Pinwheel.
- Ensure the timely and accurate collection of data and oversee information management of rosters, participants, and coach/volunteer input.
Coach Management and Training
- Ensure all program sites are staffed with trained and qualified volunteer coaches
- Assist with all aspects of coach training, including Girls on the Run NCT training, CPR & First Aid, and background checks
- Enforce all current coaching policies and procedures and generate continuous improvement
- Work with sites to develop effective coach recruitment and retention strategies
- Oversee and support the needs of all coach volunteers.
- Act as the primary point of contact for sites and coaches throughout the season.
- Design and implement coach appreciation opportunities.
Curriculum and Materials Management
- Purchase and distribute all curriculum materials including coach bags, coach manuals, program equipment and supplies.
- Manage inventory and distribution of coach and program curriculum, materials and supplies.
- Order t-shirts and other program materials; prepare and oversee program shirt and supply distribution across the region.
Administrative Responsibilities
- Provides program and 5K related information, templates, etc., to coaches and volunteers.
- Maintains and updates GOTR Learning Academy modules and processes
- Facilitates shoe distribution and site visits.
- Oversees registration process for territory
- Maintains technology oversight of GOTR website and 5K websites
- Oversees/implements social media and communication outlets, in conjunction with program interns and/or Maryland Corps members (including GOTRI toolkits)
5K Event Responsibilities
- Participates in 5K planning committee meetings
- Be the main point of contact for GOTR girls and coaches for 5K events; answer questions about the event(s); generate informational emails/communications for GOTR sites, coaches, and other site liaisons.

Compensation/Benefits
- Annual salary of $35,684 (25 hours/week) - equivalent of $27.45 per week
- Healthcare stipend of $200 per month
- Cell phone/technology reimbursement of $75/month
- This will be a hybrid position with some remote work and some in-person work – ability to be present in person regularly in the region is required.
- Mileage reimbursement at IRS-designated rate
