Summary :
The Program Specialist is responsible for providing and implementing quality programs to girl members. This individual will focus primarily on program logistics, leading program delivery, coaching and supporting volunteers and parents representing GS Impact leadership with partnerships to support the girl experience. They will actively promote and support the mission and goals of Girl Scouts-Arizona Cactus-Pine through the Girl Scout Leadership Experience (GSLE). This position will be based in Coconino County, with potential support offered to surrounding areas such as Mohave County, Navajo County, Yavapai County, Navajo Nation, and Hopi Lands. Applicants must live in Flagstaff.

Essential Duties / Responsibilities
- Assist in achieving the council's membership and retention goals for girls through delivery of quality curricula, events, and additional resources as driven by community needs.
- Coach volunteers and parents during programs and assign roles to lead specific sections of program to ensure they are getting the leadership experience they desire.
- Ensure the implementation of programs in accordance with the GSLE delivery model and adaptive to the needs of girls in diverse and underserved communities.
- Maintain and support communications between GS Impact families and community stakeholders.
- Actively engage adults to assist with programs in various locations to engage families in Girl Scouts.
- Strategize ways to best use technological platforms to provide an engaging Girl Scout experience.
- Plan and support additional events and opportunities for girls such as field trips and outings.
- Coordinate specialized projects, as assigned, to obtain desired outcomes for GS Impact signature programs.
- Assist in the creation of new program partnerships that lead to increased adult and girl membership in culturally diverse and lower socioeconomic areas.
- Support program recruitment efforts in partnership with Council Recruitment Team and Extended Area Membership Support Executives.
- Travel to neighboring extended area Service Units, Navajo Nation, and Hopi Lands to provide program and recruitment support as needed.
- Complete and maintain appropriate council training such as First Aid training, Troop Camp Certification, etc.
- Instruct volunteers, and girls in established emergency procedures such as fire drills, site evacuation, etc.
- Ensure the maintenance of health and safety standards.
- Identify and implement program improvements to enable more effective and efficient achievement of girls' needs and GSLE outcomes.
- Utilize technology to ensure the maintenance of all records.
- Provide safe transportation for girl members when necessary (Must be 21).
- Assist with other duties as assigned.
