Growing logistics company has an immediate opening for an experienced and reliable in-person accounting administrator who can juggle both bookkeeping and office management tasks. We are seeking a competent and personable administrator with a rigorous work ethic and high degree of attention to detail; the type of person who takes great pride in his/her work and is unwilling to compromise on quality.
Responsibilities include:
- Managing general ledger, accounts receivable, and accounts payable
- Processing all weekly payments and deposits
- Assisting with initiating and tracking incoming and outgoing FedEx shipments
- Responding to general inquiries by phone and email
- Creating and tracking vendor purchase orders
- Creating and processing client invoices
- Maintaining office supplies and responding to supply requests from sales reps
- Communicating with clients, sales reps, and suppliers via phone and email
- Processing and maintaining inventory reports and reconciling inventory discrepancies
- Providing additional administrative and accounting support as needed
Qualifications sought:
- Minimum of associate’s degree, preferably in Finance, Accounting, or Business
- At least 2 years’ experience in bookkeeping/accounting
- Thorough understanding of QuickBooks and preferably experience with Great Plains
- Previous experience with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
- Excellent facility with Microsoft Word and Excel
- Reliable attendance, with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Flexible nature and ability to juggle multiple tasks effectively
- Well-organized with a high attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience with monitoring and managing aging accounts
- Strong team player who can produce quality work with quick turnaround
- Capable of attentive service to clients and team members
- Maintains the highest degree of professional standards, professional conduct, and confidentiality
