Position Overview:
The Working Security Manager is a hands-on leadership role responsible for ensuring the safety and security of client properties while supervising and supporting a team of security officers. This position involves a combination of patrol duties, staff management, client relationship development, scheduling, and on-site training. The ideal candidate will be highly dependable, organized, and capable of leading by example.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct Patrols: Perform regular foot and/or vehicle patrols of assigned sites to ensure security protocols are followed, identify potential threats, and maintain a visible presence.
- Client Relationship Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients at assigned locations. Address concerns promptly and professionally while maintaining positive, proactive communication.
- Scheduling and Coverage: Create, distribute, and manage the weekly schedule for assigned posts. Ensure all shifts are covered and fill in as needed in case of call-outs or emergencies.
- Training: Train new and existing officers on site-specific procedures, safety protocols, customer service expectations, and incident response. Conduct refresher trainings as necessary.
- Supervising: Monitor on-duty officers to ensure performance, appearance, and professionalism meet company standards. Provide coaching, corrective actions, and evaluations.
- Hiring: Assist in the recruitment, interviewing, and onboarding of qualified security personnel. Ensure new hires are properly equipped and trained.
- Responding: Respond to incidents and emergencies as needed. Complete detailed incident reports and ensure proper documentation is maintained for site activity. Ensure compliance with company policies, site-specific post orders, and state security regulations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum of 2 years of security or other related experience; supervisory experience strongly preferred
- Valid driver's license
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Physically able to patrol large areas and respond quickly in emergencies
- Proficient with basic technology including scheduling tools, communication apps, and incident reporting software
- Must be a US citizen
- Must have a smart phone

This is a working supervisor position—candidates must be willing and able to work in the field alongside team members, not just in a supervisory capacity.
Pay :
Pay is based on the qualified candidate and can be discussed and negotiated in an interview.
