Job Summary
The Electrical Substation Construction Superintendent is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of electrical substation construction projects from start to finish. This role ensures that projects are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with safety and quality standards. The Superintendent will lead site operations, coordinate with project teams, and serve as the primary point of contact for subcontractors and field staff.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage daily field operations of electrical substation construction.
- Ensure adherence to project schedules and budgets.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders.
- Oversee site safety, ensuring compliance with OSHA and company safety policies.
- Coordinate and manage subcontractors and site personnel.
- Inspect work for quality assurance and adherence to specifications.
- Maintain project documentation and progress reports.
- Address and resolve any site issues or project delays.
- Ensure the proper use and maintenance of tools and equipment.
- Conduct site meetings and provide regular project updates.
- Work primarily on active construction sites
- Exposure to varying weather conditions
- Occasional travel may be required
Qualifications
- 5\ years of experience in electrical substation construction required.
- Degree in construction management or electrical trade preferred.
- Proven leadership and team management skills
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, blueprints, and construction practices
- Familiarity with safety regulations and quality control standards
- Excellent communication and problem\-solving abilities
- Ability to work in a fast\-paced, outdoor environment
- Proficiency in project management software and MS Office Suite
