What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sales Engineer position at GitGuardian?
Our preferred candidate will have a hybrid schedule in our office in Downtown Boston, MA. Candidates with application security or DevSecOps experience will be considered for remote if on Eastern Time.

We are the leaders in Secrets detection technology in the industry. Leaked secrets have been the source of many hacks in the world, and we are helping many of our customers avoid secrets leakage in different code repositories and other internal systems. Our solutions are already used by more than 300K developers across the world, are ranked the most popular AppSec tool on Github and the easiest SAST software on G2. We are growing fast, and we need help!
Our typical customers are companies with hundreds / thousands of developers that are leveraging hundreds of services like SaaS applications, cloud infrastructure, or internal microservices and are mature in DevOps and Cloud adoption. Our prospects and customers are highly technical : Software Development and Ops teams, Application Security, Threat Response, etc.
We're looking for a technical Sales Engineer with a background in cybersecurity. Our ideal candidate will work closely with our sales teams across the US. Your team will include those in the US as well as Europe, granting you an international experience with room for growth.
Your Mission :
You will nurture and support an extended sales cycle, explaining and demonstrating our platform to numerous stakeholders. You will be a close ally to our US Account Executives, working hand in hand to facilitate complex relationships. You have excellent communication and project management skills.
- Work closely with Account Executives, helping close deals by acting as GitGuardian's technical voice & product expert.
- You will provide support for PoCs, performing technical product demos and soothing concerns.
- Architect and build out custom workflows for our prospective customers to show them the value of our product and how it will fit into their environment.
- Occasional post-sales : answering level 1 support needs of your existing Enterprise customers.
- Partner with the Marketing and Product teams to create all the technical collateral needed for a better understanding of our solutions and of the market's needs.
- Act as a thought leader and an interface between the Sales organization and technical staff to resolve outstanding issues.
- Attend regional industry conferences as needed.
- Ability to travel within the region as needed, up to 20%.
