Overview
GitHub helps companies and organizations succeed by allowing them to build better software, together. We're looking for a Sales Development Manager to develop and lead our fantastic Sales Development team in the GitHub AMER region. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering the best experience to our customers and developing a team of entry level sales professionals.
This is a Hybrid position, required to go into the Bellevue office Wednesdays and Thursdays for collaboration days.
Responsibilities
Manage a team of outbound Sales Development Representatives to exceed new pipeline targets within the assigned territory
Provide leadership, development, and training to the Sales Development team
Hire, onboard, retain, and promote amazing talent
Prospecting strategy: help design and drive prospecting strategies within assigned territory, collaborating with crossfunctional partners to execute pipeline building sprints and other prospecting strategies.
Reporting: Monitor key performance indicators for a team of Outbound Sales Development Representatives
Stakeholder management: Work collaboratively with cross functional partners, such as marketing, sales analytics, sales operations, and marketing operations, to optimize systems and workflows for peak output within the Sales Development organization
Operations: Continuously optimize Sales Development processes, leveraging feedback from customers, prospects, Sales Dev reps, field reps, and internal partners
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
6 years experience in business development or sales
OR Bachelor's Degree in Business, Communications, Finance, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field AND 4 years experience in business development or sales
OR equivalent experience
- Ability to work onsite in our Bellevue, WA office a minimum of two days per week
Preferred Qualifications
8 years experience in business development or sales
OR Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, or related field AND 6 years experience in business development or sales
OR equivalent experience.
3 years experience in computer science, software development, technology, or a related domain.
Ability to collaborate effectively within a cross-functional sales team, leveraging collective expertise to develop tailored solutions, enhance client engagement, and close deals in a team-selling environment.
Strong technical aptitude and ability to become deeply fluent in GitHub’s technology and the industry
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
Strong track record of exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth, ideally in the tech industry
Compensation Range
The base salary range for this job is USD $62,100.00 - USD $164,820.00 /Yr.
In addition, this role also has the opportunity to earn sales incentives. On target earnings (OTE) is based on a 60/40 base salary/sales incentive.
These pay ranges are intended to cover roles based across the United States. An individual's base pay depends on various factors including geographical location and review of experience, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant. At GitHub certain roles are eligible for benefits and additional rewards, including annual bonus and stock. These rewards are allocated based on individual impact in role. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee's role.
