Basic Function
Support the DC Manager to monitor and strategize the daily warehouse activities. Ensure efficient process and maximize warehouse productivity. Prepare work schedules and oversee the workflow. Ensure procedures are followed according to specifications. Qualified employee shall have knowledge of a variety of practices and procedures within a particular field. This position relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. The individual shall perform a variety of complicated tasks as well as lead and direct the work of others. This position may require the candidate to travel, work on weekend(s) and overtime.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist and support DC manager in managing warehouse operations and daily activities.
- Measuring and reporting the effectiveness of warehousing activities and employee’s performance
- Supervise team Leads to prioritize shipping and receiving activities to effectively meet order fulfillment and shipping schedules.
- Balance workloads as needed to achieve production and delivery targets for each shift.
- Set goals for the team and ensure the company’s plans and targets are understood and met
- Utilizes data and analytics to optimize operations, track production metrics, and anticipate and resolve problems.
- Provides the necessary equipment, tools, and training to staff to ensure safe, secure, and efficient operations.
- Oversee accuracy of incoming and outgoing paperwork; ensure paperwork is processed promptly, correctly, and accurately
- Train new employees with the warehouse policies and procedures.
- Ensure monthly safety and security inspections are handle and properly recorded.
- Maintain positive and effective communication with peers, management, and other departments
- Asist manager with quarterly and annual employee’s evaluations
- Oversee the document control process to maintain current and reliable SOPs as well as emergency operation procedures. And utilize reports to project warehouse status.
- Identify areas of improvement and establish innovative continuous improvement, and adjust existing work procedures and practices accordingly
- Assist the Team Leads to ensure all equipment preventive maintenance are scheduled according to timeframe agreed by contract
- Perform all other duties as assigned by DC manager, or any member of GITI DC operation management team.
Experience
At least 5 years of warehouse with two years of supervisory experience in shipping & receiving environment, employee development, Inventory control, SOPs, and warehouse operation KPI’s. Experience with Warehouse Management System and RF scanning a must.
Forklift Driver Certification on Reach Truck, Sit Down Truck, Order Picker and / or Carton Clamps is highly preferred.
