Gittleman Construction & Maintenance Corporation, provides construction and maintenance services to condominiums, townhomes and single family homes in the greater Twin Cities metropolitan area. We have been in business for over 40 years and we employ a team of highly skilled experienced tradespeople, many of whom have been with the company for over 20 years. This position will provide a gas card, vehicle after 90 days, health insurance, and profit sharing among other benefits.
Successful candidates will have:
- 2 years of carpentry experience
- Valid driver's license
- Handyman skills
- Clean background and DMV record
- Understanding of property services industry
- Geographical expertise of service area
- General Contractor license a plus
The Contractor (Carpenter) is responsible for making direct contact with all Association Managers and Homeowners to schedule work orders. Work orders are administered through the office via the dispatcher. The Contractor (Carpenter) is required to keep accurate records and organized paperwork to be submitted weekly for billing. This position requires the employee to be "self-managed" in maintaining and organizing their schedule.

- Ability to work a minimum of 8 working hours each workday
- Ability to adjust, lift, push and pull heavy objects up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand, walk, climb, stoop, kneel and balance regularly
- Ability to do ladder/step work which could include carrying ladders, scaffolding and walking up/down stairs
- Frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts
- Contact with sharp, hot and/or very cold supplies and equipment
- Must maintain safety procedures at all times to prevent work injuries
