About the Job
This is a second shift position located in East Hanover, NJ. You will manage production group leaders and hourly staff and their daily activities. Organize staff and material flow to optimize performance. Assist the scheduler(s) with prioritizing customer orders based on ship dates. Oversee replenishment of packaging material used. Monitor batch yields and initiate adjustments. Identify the cause of delays and take corrective action.
Lead improvement projects that support productivity increase, product profitability, and organization on the floor. Work with all departments (QC, WH, Planning) to resolve production-related problems. Investigate any production non-conformances and customer complaints. Initiate corrective action. Investigate new equipment and methods to upgrade manufacturing and efficiency and make recommendations to management.
