PRIMARY QUALIFICATIONS
2 or 4 year degree related to laboratory science is required
Minimum 3-5 years laboratory work experience
SAP experience is required
Working knowledge of lab software used for specific, designated lab is required
TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES
Understanding of flavor development and production processes for the materials that they are evaluating
Computer skills including Microsoft Office
Must possess strong written and verbal English skills and be able to read and explain technical documentation to others
Must be able to communicate openly
Must have the ability to think creatively
Open to change and learning
Ability to drive for performance amongst all levels within the lab
Must have customer awareness
Have a desire to achieve results and be a team player
Must have strong math skills
Self-starter.Able to assist coworkers without being guided to do so.
BASIC FUNCTION
Under minimal supervision, evaluates finished product samples by performing analytical testing and recording results in SAP EHS system.
Performs basic troubleshooting and calibrations on equipment.
Executes and distributes daily and weekly reports.
Sets up and reviews new specifications, executes basic specification changes, and trouble shoots as needed.
Assists in other areas of the department.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Data Lab Daily Responsibilities (70% or 20%)
Perform analytical testing : Flash Point, Refractive Index / Brix, Specific Gravity, PH, Alcohol.Others as instructed.
Evaluate formulas to determine estimated flashpoint and alcohol content.
Record testing results in applicable systems : Database, QMS, SAP
Identifies incorrect test results and issues with testing equipment.
Perform equipment calibrations / verifications to maintain and ensure accurate records.
Coordinates annual vendor certifications, and service calls as needed.
Maintain, organize, and discard retain samples.
Restock, trigger reordering, and organize supplies as needed.
Maintain a clean and well organized work area.
Create / run reports to review data for accuracy.
Create / run reports for testing summaries and to request untested samples from Flavorists.
Specification Daily Responsibilities (70% or 20%)
Create new specifications for materials in SAP-GDMS report.
Execute specification changes through GSD requests
Perform impact analysis required for specification changes
Complete SAP workflows for industrialization
Other Responsibilities (10%)
Manages approval packets
Maintain a clean and well organized work area.
Excellent attendance, flexibility, enthusiasm and a positive approach to work performance
Other tasks as assigned
