Job Title: Line-Staff (Sub)
Supervisor: Site Lead and Program Directors
Job Summary
The main purpose of this role is to support GECAC Line Staff. As a substitute, the employee will assist with the daily operations of the program, ensuring that the sites have the support they need to maintain a high-quality program that keeps students engaged.

Responsibilities and Duties:
- Monitor Enrichment lessons through observation and interaction with site staff.
- Develop in coordination with site staff a monthly calendar of academically enriched lessons.
- Build a working relationship with school day teachers and work to extend the regular school day in the after school program.
- Promote a safe and positive classroom environment
- Actively supervise and ensure student safety at all times
- Incorporate assigned curriculum as part of monthly lesson calendars.
- Attend all meetings and training's that the position requires.
- Give guidance and counsel to program/site staff when appropriate and keep all pertaining records.
- Assist with program events as needed.
- Provide an opportunity for the students to participate in enriching academic activities without regard for high performance skill or ability.
- Provide activities in a safe supervised environment.
- Establish a student-centered program that considers the needs and interests of all students.
- Provide age appropriate activities.
- Support the exploration of interests and the development of skills, mastery, and creativity.
- Support youth leadership development.
- Promote community service, engagement.
- Align projects to supplement what the students are learning in the school day.
- Be goofy, have fun and be a good role model
Education and Experience
- High School Graduate (must have passed a Proficiency Test with a score of 80% or higher) or possess 48 College Credits.
- Proficiency Test will be scheduled and administered in the main office prior to the initial Onboarding Process.
- Experience and/or training in a closely related employment position preferred
- Bilingual (Spanish) a plus
Credential Required:
- Receive Department of Justice background clearance if 18 and older
- High School Graduate
- Have a clean/negative TB Test
- Passed the Paraprofessional Proficiency exam or 48 completed college units
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 8 – 20 per week
