Key Responsibilities:
- Works directly for the General Manager to ensure operational excellence of all warehouse activities.
- Monitors and reports account performance metrics on a daily basis.
- Improves warehouse operations through regular evaluation of handling and storage requirements:
- Constantly seeks to improve the efficiency of receiving products, equipment utilization, inventory management, order fulfillment, and shipping.
- Develops standards for all activities and uses them as the basis for performance evaluation.
- Oversees the interaction between the administrative and operational components of warehouse actives.
- Responsible for developing and executing continuing training for all subordinates, including 4-5 Supervisors and 35-45 warehouse staff.
- Manages the daily personnel requirements for all assigned accounts, forecasting future needs and onboarding new hires.
- Maintains a safe and efficient work environment by following and enforcing company policies.
- Responsible for meeting the productivity, quality, and customer service standards for all accounts. Records and monitors required Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Acts as the primary point of contact for customer questions, issues, and special projects outside the scope of normal operations.
- Develops vendor relationships to ensure the highest standard of service is received at the most affordable cost.
- Utilizes the Warehouse Management System to administratively track activity and ensure accurate billing.
- Leads the account staff towards operational goals through daily operations meetings, identifying work requirements, distributing labor, and developing a daily operational plan.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in warehouse operations with preference for mass merchant and e-commerce fulfillment knowledge.
- Experience utilizing distribution Warehouse Management Systems to conduct operations.
- Proven leadership abilities displaying an aptitude for planning and executing complex workloads.
- Excellent problem solving and communications skills.
- Previous 3PL operational experience preferred.
- QA/Inventory experience preferred.
- Bachelor Degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
- Proficient in MS Office applications including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
