Job Overview:
The Warehouse Technician is responsible for the efficient management of daily shipping and receiving activities. This role collaborates with the Warehouse Supervisor and other team members to ensure accurate inventory control and timely shipping of materials. The position requires the operation of various equipment and adherence to safety and quality standards.
Essential Functions:
- Follow all safety procedures, participate in safety programs, and advocate for a safe working environment.
- Manage the shipment and receipt of goods, including operating equipment such as forklifts, floor scrubbers, and stretch wrappers. Handle bills of lading, process RMAs, and load and brace trucks/containers for shipment.
- Perform cycle counts, input carrier pro numbers, and maintain accurate inventory levels by using LX and Custom programs.
- Pick and stage materials for finishing, complete pick lists, and generate required shipping paperwork. Ensure all shipments are confirmed and audited in the system.
- Operate material handling equipment safely, ensuring smooth operations for all shipping and receiving tasks.
Qualifications:
- Self-motivated with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong team player with the ability to support safety, quality, production, and housekeeping goals.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely.
- Experience in warehouse operations and inventory management.
