Project Manager (Water Resources)

Givler Engineering, Inc. seeks a Project Manager in San Antonio, Texas to lead water resources and dam-engineering projects. This key role offers an exciting opportunity to manage complex projects, mentor junior staff, and play a key role in driving the company's strategic growth in the water resources market.

Key Responsibilities :

Project Management

Lead the planning, design, and execution of water resources and dam-related projects, ensuring timely and budget-conscious delivery.
Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resources.
Collaborate with clients, sub-consultants, and regulatory agencies to meet objectives and compliance standards.

Client Relationship Management

Serve as the primary contact for water resources clients, maintaining open communication and providing regular updates.

Represent the firm at meetings with clients, council members, and community stakeholders.

Identify opportunities for additional services with existing clients through soft marketing efforts.

Technical Leadership

Provide expertise in hydrology, hydraulics, dam safety, flood risk analysis, and related disciplines.

Develop and review technical reports, calculations, and designs to ensure compliance with industry standards.

Stay informed about advancements in water resources engineering and integrate innovative practices into solutions.

Business Development

Foster and maintain strong client relationships through exceptional project delivery.

Identify and pursue new business opportunities, leading proposal development, including scopes of work, budgets, and schedules.

Represent the firm at industry events, conferences, and professional organizations.

Collaborate with leadership to expand the company's water resources and dam engineering portfolio.

Mentorship and Team Leadership

Act as a mentor to junior staff, promoting professional growth and collaboration.

Lead project teams with a focus on effective communication and teamwork.

Secondary duties :

Expert witness support.

Ad-hoc duties as assigned by the Principal.

Minimum Requirements :

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field (Master's preferred).

Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in Texas or ability to obtain licensure through reciprocity from another state within 3-6 months.

5-8 years of experience in water resources and dam-related engineering, with a focus on project management.

Proficiency in engineering design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS).

Strong knowledge of Texas municipal codes and permitting processes.

Proven success in client relationship management and business development.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Valid driver's license and willingness to travel locally for site visits and client meetings.
