Job Overview:
As a Barista / Sandwich Maker at Good Judys Espresso & Bagel Bar, you’ll be the face of our café, responsible for crafting exceptional coffee beverages, preparing delicious bagels and sandwiches, and delivering outstanding customer service. We’re looking for a motivated individual who is passionate about coffee and bagels, and thrives in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, including espresso drinks, brewed coffee, and specialty drinks.
- Prepare and assemble sandwiches and bagels according to standard recipes. - Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, including the coffee station and sandwich prep area.
- Provide excellent customer service, including taking orders, handling cash, and answering customer inquiries.
- Ensure all food and beverage items meet quality and presentation standards.
- Assist with inventory management and restocking supplies as needed.
- Follow all health and safety guidelines, including proper food handling and sanitation procedures.
- Must achieve an ANSI-Accredited Food Handler certification within 30 days of hire.
Qualifications:
- Must obtain ANSI-accredited Food Handler certificate within 30 days of employment
- Previous experience as a barista or in a similar role is preferred but not required. - Strong customer service skills with a friendly and positive attitude.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic math skills for handling cash and processing transactions.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
