GJL Partners has been retained by a growing Medical Device products manufacturer is looking for an industry-experienced Director of Operations/Plant Manager to add to their leadership team.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of manufacturing operations to ensure production efficiency and quality standards are met
- Provide senior leadership to the manufacturing team, setting strategic goals and objectives
- Develop and implement business strategies to drive growth and profitability
- Lead the strategic planning process for manufacturing operations
- Manage and optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers and vendors to ensure cost-effective procurement
- Direct project management initiatives to drive continuous improvement in manufacturing operations
- Provide strong leadership to motivate and develop a high-performing manufacturing team
- Developing, executing, and overseeing the annual, medium, and long-term growth strategies and plans, including efforts that emphasize both revenue and profitability objectives
- Working closely with the CEO and senior leadership team in maintaining a competitive edge with a strong technology platform that addresses process design and workflow initiatives to prepare/improve the support structure and business case for new target markets, deeper customer penetration, market share, product/service positioning, and pricing strategies.
- Overseeing all efforts around managing/maintaining end customer satisfaction by implementing strategies, tactics, and actions aimed at guaranteeing service quality and delivery. This will include creating and maintaining an environment where new and innovative products and ideas help drive future success.
- Play a key role in sales and marketing efforts through the development and maintenance of key “top-to-top” relationships with both channel partners and both new and existing end customers.
Qualifications/skills required
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, industrial technology, or manufacturing management field
- A minimum of 10-plus years of overall experience of which at least 5 have been in leadership/general management roles within the aerospace industry and selling engineered solutions into industrial–oriented and technical end markets.
- Significant exposure to sales leadership/commercial management efforts through leading or working closely with a high-performing, enterprise-level sales organization that has approached its markets from a solutions-based selling orientation.
- Strong appreciation of industrial marketing disciplines including understanding customer demand, market segmentation, end-user application development, sales lead generation, and communications (online and traditional).
