7th Grade Science Teacher

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Science Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and comprehensive science lessons to students, fostering a love for learning, and promoting critical thinking skills. This role requires a strong foundation in various scientific disciplines, including Genetics and Microbiology, as well as the ability to effectively manage a classroom environment.

Duties

• Develop and implement lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and educational goals.
• Teach various science subjects, including but not limited to Genetics, Microbiology, and Trigonometry.
• Utilize diverse teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
• Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
• Mentor students in their academic pursuits and provide guidance on scientific concepts.
• Conduct assessments to evaluate student progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Collaborate with colleagues in curriculum development and instructional strategies.
• Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance.
• Provide library services support by integrating research skills into the curriculum.
• Ensure classroom management by establishing rules and expectations for behavior.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of scientific principles, particularly in Genetics and Microbiology.
• Proficiency in Trigonometry is beneficial for teaching advanced concepts.
• Excellent classroom management skills to create an effective learning environment.
• Experience in mentoring students to enhance their academic growth.
• Background in higher education teaching is preferred but not required.
• Strong proofreading skills to ensure clarity and accuracy in instructional materials.
• Ability to educate students on complex topics in an accessible manner.
• Experience in curriculum development to create relevant and engaging lesson plans.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $57,000.00 - $57,500.00 per year
