Automotive Manufacturing - GKN Automotive is the global leader in drive systems. GKN produces driveline components, all-wheel drive systems, and plug-in hybrid systems. Our location in Sanford, NC focuses on precision forging and tool manufacturing for driveshafts. We are looking to hire an NC State Engineering student to work alongside our engineering and maintenance team.
The Manufacturing Engineer Intern will be assigned to a specific project in the Manufacturing Engineering field that improves processes relative to quality and / or manufacturing. Project Examples Include -
Time study management
Cost Improvement Management Project
Changeover documentation improvement
Stop gate conveyor matrix
Standard Work verification and modification
