Job Description
Three to five years manufacturing or assembly experience with knowledge of the quality function. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Knowledge in the use and application of SPC.
Excellent computer skills with working knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Desirable
Bachelor Degree in a technical field
- Conduct training on existing Quality and EHS systems for their shift.
- Conduct product and processes audits to ensure compliance with interal procedures and customer requirements for quality (ensure process adherence to the control plan)
- Collect data to support problem solving, process validation, change implantation, and/or statistical data to support Quality Engineering function.
- Investigate suspect raw materials or finished goods found during the assembly process.
- Initiate sorts and ensure proper containment of finished goods that are determined to be suspect.
- Inspect raw materials prior to assembly use.
- Prepare rework procedures and train the rework operators.
- Identify non-standard practices and document it for customer approval.
- Authorize non-standard work.
- Assist Quality Engineers with tracking of PPAP/PTR, trail or deviated parts, as well as management of changes implemented for their shift
- Resolve problems, make process improvements and respond to internal and external customer inquiries regarding quality issues.
- Transfer information to Engineering and Manufacturing regarding off-shift activities.
- Support teams in structured problem solving efforts to improve both product and processes.
- Organize and present data to management for decision making.
- Resolve disputes with internal and external customer involving product quality.
- Provide initial response to after hours customer inquires concerning product, service and deliveries.
- Perform all other task as assigned by Internal Quality Manager.
- Comply with all company and departmental policies and procedures.
- Responsible for communicating when there is an issue affecting the Environment, Health, Safety or Quality to his / her respective Manager
