Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Receiving Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for receiving product into LN. Communication between external and internal functions to insure proper response. Responsible for maintaining and transporting inventory, materials, skids, goods, cardboard etc. while providing support to prepare, unload, stock, transport or unpack deliveries and shipments. The ideal candidate will have experience in warehouse management and a strong understanding of shipping and receiving processes.
Responsibilities
- Understand and comply with safety rules, OSHA regulations, and environmental and ISO 14001 and 45001 requirements and regulations associated to the job tasks.
- 5S/Housekeeping in all areas of assignment
- Role is not a full-time desk job. This role requires employees to spend = / > 50% on plant/warehouse floor/back pad when not doing desk work or loading/unloading trucks.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Contribute to the compliance of IATF 16949 standard and customer specific requirements.
- Generate a culture that fosters continual improvement throughout the assigned site(s).
- Communicate the vision, mission, and values of GKN
- Interact with other associated personnel as a team worker.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of all discussions, memos, etc.
- Prepare daily shipping paperwork and ensure that it is correct, including but not limited to discrete, supply chain, and/or international shipments.
- Receive in all incoming shipments into LN after verification that goods are fully accounted for without shortages and/or damages and match all applicable corresponding documentation.
- Prepare labeling for shipments based on customer requirements.
- Ensure that appropriate certifications and quality documents (including ASNs) for customers go with shipments.
- Line up truckers for pickups and deliveries as required (i.e. dunnage returns).
- Prepare product for shipments to customer requirements (packaging, labelling, etc.).
- Serve as back-up to other supply chain personnel.
- Ordering and inventory management of MRO and packaging items.
- Maintenance of dunnage/returnable on-hand.
- Generate, monitor, and maintain sub con schedules, shipments, and invoicing.
- Work with subcons/external processors to ensure schedules are met, as needed.
- Ensure all system transactions support inventory accuracy.
- Cycle counting inventory within the warehouse and within production facility daily.
- Update shipping instructions as needed.
- Monitor and update customer websites based on business requirements.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Two (2) years previous shipping experience in a manufacturing environment
- Power Industrial Truck certification or experience
- Strong Communication, Organizational Skills, and Attention to Detail
- Data entry/ typing – able to type in home row key format and at moderate speed.
- Strong Computer Skills in Microsoft Office Package and experience with WMS or MRP/ERP system modules (SAP, Oracle, MAPICS) a plus
