Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Tow Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical knowledge and experience operating various types of tow trucks, including flatbed models. This role requires excellent driving skills, the ability to handle conflict management, and a commitment to providing outstanding service to our customers in need of roadside assistance.
Duties
- Operate tow trucks safely and efficiently to transport vehicles from one location to another.
- Load and unload vehicles using appropriate techniques to prevent damage.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on the tow truck to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Provide assistance to stranded motorists, including jump-starting batteries, changing flat tires, and delivering fuel.
- Maintain clear communication with dispatch regarding job status and any issues that may arise during service calls.
- Utilize conflict management skills when dealing with distressed customers or challenging situations.
- Keep accurate records of services performed and any relevant vehicle information.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience driving manual transmission vehicles is preferred.
- Proven experience as a Tow Truck Driver or in a similar role within the automotive industry.
- Strong mechanical knowledge and skills related to automotive repair.
- Ability to operate forklifts and other machinery as needed for vehicle recovery.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with customers and team members.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
