We are seeking an experienced Customs Brokerage Agent to support import operations and ensure regulatory compliance. This role requires strong communication skills and industry expertise to manage customs clearances efficiently.Position Details:
- Location: Burlingame, CA
- Pay: $32 to $35 per hour (based on experience and qualifications)
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of customs entry writing
- Process air and ocean customs clearances to meet customer timelines
- Communicate with overseas offices, customers, and customs officials
- Prepare and submit customs entries, ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Review commodity classifications and recommend adjustments as needed
- Utilize systems like NetCHB, CargoWise, and Salesforce to manage workflows
- Conduct compliance audits and suggest process improvements
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve issues and optimize operations
- Proficiency in customs brokerage software and industry regulations
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
- Effective verbal and written communication abilities
