GL Staffing is hiring a Back Up Section Leader for a pharmaceutical company.
Summary
Supports the Section Leader in overseeing daily packaging operations, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency. Leads the team in production planning, training, and troubleshooting while maintaining compliance with GMP standards. Acts as the Section Leader in their absence.
Pay rate $24 p/h
Schedule:
Sunday to Thursday/ Tuesday to Saturday
2nd shift: 3pm-11:30pm
3rd shift: 11pm- 7:30am

Key Responsibilities:
- The Back Up Section Leader assigns and trains personnel to meet production schedules.
- Reviews batch documentation for accuracy and completeness.
- Monitors packaging processes and ensures compliance with quality standards.
- Investigates and resolves process issues, escalating as needed.
- Ensures proper use of raw materials and prints in-process labels in SAP.
- Assembles, disassembles, and cleans equipment per GMP procedures.
- The Back Up Section Leader collaborates with Quality Assurance and Engineering to maintain quality standards.
- Updates production boards and monitors schedules.
- Enforces GMP dress code and safety policies.
- The Back Up Section Leader conducts training and audits to ensure SOP compliance.
- Supports Environmental, Health & Safety initiatives.
Qualifications:
- 7 years in a fast-paced manufacturing/packaging environment (preferably GMP-compliant).
- Strong leadership, coaching, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in SAP, Microsoft Office, and basic math calculations.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
