Job Title : Buyer ( The hiring company will provide Training for this role) The ideal candidate is someone with an Engineering background
Duties and Responsibilities :
- The Buyer will be responsible for the procurement / sourcing of parts in order to fulfill incoming customer orders per specifications and drawings provided.
- The Buyer analyzes the requirements of the commodity, including preliminary specifications, preferred supplier, and the date the commodity is needed.
- The Buyer will research products, source vendors, and negotiate price, terms, and delivery of a wide variety of technical products including hardware, components, and systems for all types of army and ground forces equipment, including tanks, fighting vehicles, armored personnel carriers, artillery (self-propelled and towed), trucks, utility vehicles, engineering equipment, countermine equipment, bridging equipment, missile launchers, armaments, radars, electronics, and communications equipment.
- The Buyer will review drawings and ensure materials are purchased from drawing or customer-approved sources.
Required / Preferred Education / Training Machining Background Ability to read and understand blueprint drawings
