We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Night Shift Engineering Manufacturing Manager to oversee and manage the production operations for our manufacturing plant during the night shift. This role will ensure manufacturing delivery requirements, quality standards, and cost targets are consistently met. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading a high-performing team, maintaining the efficiency of manufacturing processes, and driving continuous improvements in operational effectiveness.
Position Title: Night Shift Engineering Manufacturing Manager
Location: Davie, FL
Salary: $90,000 to 95,000 annually
Key Responsibilities:
- Production Management:
Plan, direct, and control all production activities during the night shift, ensuring timely completion of manufacturing operations in accordance with delivery requirements, quality standards, and cost targets.
- Team Leadership:
Oversee the selection, development, and motivation of the operations team. Ensure effective organization of resources to maximize productivity and ensure the team performs at a high level.
- Manufacturing Operations:
Manage the scheduling of manpower in all production areas, ensuring proper allocation of resources for effective operations.
- Maintenance & Equipment:
Ensure the cleaning, maintenance, and proper functioning of all manufacturing equipment. Coordinate preventive maintenance schedules and monitor equipment performance.
- Logistics & Production Planning:
Conduct logistic planning and analyze production lead times to ensure smooth operations. Ensure production schedules are followed, and any delays or challenges are addressed promptly.
- Quality:
Develop, implement, and enforce effective quality control programs to ensure all products meet established quality standards and objectives.
- Process Improvement:
Continuously review and improve manufacturing processes, equipment, and production methods to reduce costs, increase operational efficiency, and optimize manufacturing productivity.
- SOP Compliance:
Enforce adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure safe, efficient, and consistent production processes.
- KPI Management:
Monitor, analyze, and report on manufacturing KPIs to ensure goals are being met and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Cross-Department Collaboration:
Work closely with Planning, Packaging, and other departments to ensure alignment and coordination of operations across the business.
- Training & Development:
Lead efforts to train production personnel, ensuring they are skilled in their roles and aware of all safety and quality procedures.
- Other Duties:
Perform additional tasks as assigned by the immediate supervisor.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 10 years of experience in managing teams in a high-volume manufacturing plant, preferably in the nutraceutical or pharmaceutical industry.
- Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is required.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage teams effectively.
- Experience with ERP and work order transaction systems for shop floor scheduling and inventory management.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to handle loads up to 20 lbs.
- Frequent walking, standing, bending, and squatting.
- Visual acuity for clear distance and close-up vision.
- Ability to speak clearly and communicate effectively.
Working Conditions:
- The position is primarily based inside a manufacturing facility with exposure to bulk ingredients and environmental conditions that may affect respiratory or skin health, including odors, dust, or airborne allergens.
- The work environment includes exposure to noise and moving mechanical parts.
Salary : $90,000 - $95,000
