What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bus / Van Driver - Part-time position at Glacial Community YMCA?
Do you enjoy working with middle schoolers? We are seeking candidates to provide these students with a safe, enjoyable ride in our Y bus or van. As a Middle School Transport Van/Bus Driver, you will be responsible for transporting students from Nature Hill and Silver Lake Intermediate Schools to the Pabst branch YMCA.
Training will be provided for operating a 14-passenger bus or 10-passenger van, and no CDL license is required.

SCHEDULE:
- Part-time position, requires weekday availability
- Minimum of two days per week during the school year, 2:30pm-3:30pm
- Monday-Thursday during Summer School June 16-July 24, 11:45am-12:30pm)
QUALIFICATIONS:
- At least 18 years of age with a valid regular driver license and acceptable driving record.
- Ability to successfully pass written and behind-the-wheel evaluations for Y mini-buses and vans (to be assessed post-hire).
- Previous experience working with school-aged youth preferred.
- Willingness to attend meetings, training, and obtain additional certification as requested.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Abide by all Y and State regulations associated with proper and safe operation of vehicles.
- Maintain vehicle and/or participant records, logs, and other documentation as assigned.
- Exemplify and uphold all policies and procedures of the YMCA.
- Ensure safety and cleanliness of all equipment and vehicles.
