SCHEDULE:

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Plan & prepare meals and snacks that meet requirements of the U.S. Department of Agriculture Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) and state Department of Children and Families (DCF).
- Maintain proper inventory of necessary supplies and ingredients in accordance with purchasing policies and procedures set forth by the Association’s Finance Department.
- Ensure safety and cleanliness of kitchen operations and comply with applicable laws, codes, and Health Department standards. Report equipment failures or preventive maintenance requests to the appropriate leadership staff.
- Following meal preparation and serving ensure kitchen, storage areas, dishes & equipment are acceptably sanitary, clean, and put away.
- Maintain documentation and postings to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal requirements, and as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 18 years of age or older.
- Previous experience and knowledge of health regulations in food service, preferred.
- Food service course work or experience, preferred.
- Willingness to attend meetings, training, and obtain additional certification as requested.
