What are the responsibilities and job description for the Youth Development Coordinator - Full-time position at Glacial Community YMCA?
POSITION SUMMARY:
This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. Coordinate and oversee implementation of programming that encourages physical, emotional, and intellectual growth in a safe and nurturing environment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Certification or approved course work in childhood development, required.
- Emergency Medical Responder certification required or must be obtained.
- At least 2 years work experience in children’s programming/education, preferred.
- Knowledge of state licensing and Young Star accreditation requirements, preferred.
- Willingness to attend meetings, training, and obtain additional certification as required.
SCHEDULE:
- On-site at Elementary Schools & YMCA (Watertown)
- No late nights, weekends, or holidays
- Time of work: Program Hours (6:00AM - 1:00PM & 2:30PM - 6:00PM) & Office Time vary on department needs
- 40 Hours a week (Full-Time Status)

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Ability to perform all physical aspects of the position; including leading classes, walking, standing, bending, reaching, and lifting. Individuals in this position may be subject to all elements of weather and loud facilities.
