What are the responsibilities and job description for the Youth Program Instructor - Part-Time position at Glacial Community YMCA?
Do you have a passion for working with kids and helping them learn and grow? As a youth program instructor, you will be responsible for planning and implementing engaging and educational activities for students outside of regular school hours. This is a part-time position requiring availability weekday afternoons from 2:30pm to 5:30pm at least 2 days per week during the school year.
Preferred applicants will also be interested and eligible to hold the Y Bus/Van Driver position providing transportation from local schools to the Y for program participants.
POSITION SUMMARY:
This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. This position will assure a fun, safe and caring environment for youth in harmony with the mission statement and policies of the YMCA.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Previous experience working with school-aged youth and teens would be helpful.
- Willingness to attend meetings, training, and obtain additional certification as requested.
