Summary:
In this role, you will manage a team and provide leadership in driving the development and delivery of our best-in-class mortgage offerings. You'll be accountable for strategy development, product innovation, recommending new features and services for the purpose of growing the customer base, optimizing revenue opportunities for the bank, delivering exceptional service to our customers, and offering competitive Mortgage products throughout our market area. Ultimately, this position is responsible for developing and driving product initiatives from inception through execution. This is a key role within the Product Management discipline at Glacier Bancorp.
This position resides in the Customer Experience (CX) department and must be passionate about the customer experience while influencing the organization to have the same approach. This leadership role will work collaboratively with employees across the organization to drive new customer acquisition and engagement of existing customers.
Will drive the following:
- Strategic Direction: Create the strategic direction for the product line to ensure competitive, compliant, marketable, and profitable products are available to our retail customers.
- Product Roadmap/Release Planning/Project Phasing Prioritization: Own creation and ongoing management of a product roadmap, delivery of Mortgage initiatives and releases.
- Profitability: Analyze, modify and enhance existing products to maximize profitability, ensure competitive products and meet customer needs.
- Define, Monitor, and Measure Success: Build long-term instrumentation, monitoring, and evaluation capabilities for product performance, tracking, and insight.
- Service Excellence: Introduce technology solutions and enhance the workflow efficiency to deliver an exceptional customer experience.
This is a Corporate position which may be located at an available bank division location across our eight-state footprint in AZ, CO, ID, MT, NV, UT, WA, or WY. The entry for this position is $163,703.20 / per year (calculated for Kalispell, MT).
All compensation offers are analyzed individually and take into consideration multiple factors including but not limited to geographic location, years of experience, and educational background.
Description:
- Strategy Development - Uses deep customer, market, and financial modeling expertise to create a product strategy that aligns with the Bank's Annual Operating Plan and Strategic initiatives.
- Internal Relationships, Collaboration with Division and Holding Company Departments- Develop, manage, and curate a portfolio of key Division and Holding Company relationships. Build relationships with Division partners to ensure product efficiency and success with our customers. In addition, develop exceptional partnerships with IT, Operations, Risk, and Compliance. Evaluate customer feedback and needs analysis in partnership with the Divisions to ensure defined strategies deliver a simple, convenient, and reliable customer experience.
- Product Roadmap, Release Planning, Project Phasing Prioritization- Develop and execute customer-focused product roadmaps and business cases. Translate customer and internal-user needs into clear, well-defined functional and technical requirements backed by data analysis and deep understanding of the Retail Banking landscape. Collaborate with designers, engineers, and various stakeholders to develop necessary product integrations and to coordinate, plan, execute, and track product releases from beginning to end.
- Team Management- Manage the corporate Mortgage team. Ensure a quality employee and customer experience. This includes hiring, directing job assignments, monitoring staff performance, coaching, counseling, training, assuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Appraise performance and provide recommendations for staff compensation, promotion, and termination, as appropriate.
- Analysis- Develop long term plans to sustain and support the business. Stay current with product standards, industry trends, emerging technologies, and product development and product management best practices. Benchmark against peers, track and report progress relative to budget or pro-forma. Conduct cost benefit analysis of defined strategies and seek executive approval for execution. Maintain competitive advantage over peers in terms of product offerings and success with our customers.
- Reporting- Responsible for reporting and analysis surrounding our products and the profitability of the initiatives. Track key performance indicators and provide actionable insights to continuously improve the Bank's product offerings. Prepare materials for updates to Executive Leadership, Senior Management, and Bank Division Executive Teams on strategy and metrics tracking product or initiative performance.
- Must comply with all company policies and procedures and all applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and Office of Foreign Assets Control. Must complete the assigned online training courses and achieve a passing score by the due date.
